The Toodyay chapter of the Country Women’s Association celebrated a number of milestones in April, with the 100th Anniversary of National Association and the 100th birthday of long-time member, Mavis.
Also cause for celebration are the recent repairs to the roof of the CWA Hall.
Funds from the Chalice Community Investment Program, along with funding from many other local groups, companies and individuals, have assisted the CWA with repairing their roof, which was severely deteriorated.
As a pillar of the Toodyay community, the CWA contribute their time, skills and support to a number of events and community initiatives throughout the year, with the space also used regularly by other community groups including the Toodyay Craft Group, Av’n Fun Dance, Bush Poets Club, Toodyay Music Club and many more.
